Significant restrictions on approvals of Imidacloprid, Clothianidin and Thiamethoxam for active substances
With the implementing regulations (EU) 2018/783, (EU) 2018/784 and (EU) 2018/785, the European Commission has significantly restricted the approval of the active substances Imidacloprid, Clothianidin and Thiamethoxam. Member States must therefore amend or withdraw authorisations for plant protection products containing at least one of those active substances by 19.09.2018 at the latest.

New information on the efficacy of plant protection products in the approval: "to reduce infestation" and "only conditionally effective
In the evaluation of the efficacy of plant protection products, the indication supplement "for infestation reduction" has already been cited in cases of need. In order to take account of new developments, in particular concerning plant protection products based on low-risk active substances, a third category "only partially effective" is now introduced.
